Who to contact
Adventure World is a Sparkin' Games project. For questions, access, correction, or deletion requests, email [email protected]. Please do not include student data or teacher keys in an initial email; we will arrange a safer way to identify the records involved.
Information the game uses
- Students: the username entered, a generated student ID, class membership, and login timestamps.
- Learning activity: adventure and session IDs, progress, position in the game, completed objectives, question answers, collected items, scores, and team activity where used.
- Teachers: class names, join codes, assignments, team definitions, and adventures they create and publish.
- Contact: if you email us, your email address and message are processed through email. The website's contact form sends your message through Cloudflare Email Service to our inbox; the site does not keep a separate copy.
Why it is used
This information lets students rejoin a class and continue a quest, lets team play work, and lets teachers review learning results. The website also checks whether the game API is reachable. We have not added advertising trackers to the website code.
Where it is processed
The website and browser game files are delivered through Cloudflare. Game requests pass through Cloudflare to the current Adventure World server, where classroom records are stored as JSON files. Contact messages are delivered through Cloudflare Email Service to a Gmail inbox. The teacher browser app stores unpublished drafts locally in that browser. The browser teacher key is kept in memory while the app is open, not saved by the website.
Access and sharing
Authorized teachers with the teacher key can view class and student results. Students can see their own gameplay and, in team activities, shared team state. Cloudflare processes delivery and network traffic for the site and API. We do not describe classroom data as public or sell it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
The current server does not implement an automatic deletion schedule for student or class records. Records remain until they are manually removed or the storage is changed. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion; we will verify the request and explain what can be done. Deleting data on one device does not automatically remove server records.
Children and schools
Student sign-in is currently passwordless. Teachers should use classroom-appropriate names, avoid sensitive content, and follow their school’s consent and procurement process before involving children. This preview is not presented as certified for school privacy requirements.
